Bridget Wickert

I have lived in Tweed Heads in Northern NSW for 30 years. My husband and I have three lovely sons, one lives with his wife in Melbourne, one lives in Broken Hill and one has recently come home to stay. We have a gorgeous dog named Bosco, he keeps us busy and active. My hobbies include gardening, swimming, walking/keeping fit and anything where coffee is involved.

I love to experience all the beautiful natural environment here in Tweed and surrounding areas: the beaches, the bush and everything in between.

I love my work as I get to be creative, meet wonderful people and it is never boring.

I have worked in educational and larger service settings, as a teacher's' aide, supports coordinator, direct support worker, teacher/facilitator and a self-managed consultant as well as leading a small Community Development team in Sth East Qld.

My interest and deep desire to work with people with disability to achieve their goals comes from a strong sense of social justice, commitment to inclusive practice and a belief in seeing difference as uniqueness.
