Heather Compton

My background is varied from nursing, aged care, disability support, community transport and disadvantaged people within the community from all walks of life.

I live in Bega Valley since 1988 and have worked supporting people from young to seniors which I enjoy immensely.

Throughout my working and sporting life I have meet many people who strive to make their life better and are proud to travel with them on their journey in life.

Sport – I’m a Dragon Boat paddler and have competed at local, State and National level. Recently in Tasmania I competed in the Australian Masters Games winning gold, two silver and  two bronze medals.

I love walking and in 2016 travelled to Spain walking a part of the Pilgrims Way – Camino, covering 321 Kilometres. I returned in 2018 to walk 850kms from France to Finisterra (west end of Spain) another trek.

Luckily I do have a husband who cares for the chooks and tends to the garden while I am away.
