My role is to support our members navigate their way through the forever changing world of the NDIS, empowering them along the way to be confident self advocates, brave enough to challenge the system designed to support them, should they require.
I’ve worked within the Eurobodalla Shire for over 20 years, been actively involved within the local and broader communities, as a mum, as well as a support person/advocate for people with disability.
Remove the 'dis' from disability and you have 'ability', I believe there is nothing we cannot achieve without the right supports, this I believe is the “point of difference” roundsquared offers to our members. Its all about choice and control, opportunities to learn new things and experience new things. We are all unique individuals who have the right to live our optimum lives.
My previous employment is broad and somewhat varied,
Prior to coming across to roundsquared, I was employed as a Local Area Coordinator –employed by Uniting in partnership with NDIS- Southern NSW. I enjoyed this role, however after just under 3 years, felt it was time to fully utilise my skills and expertise and work alongside people supported by the NDIS as they embark upon their journeys.
I’ve worked for Department of Education within the Public Sector, Primary & High schools, - Educational Assistant.- Disability Advocate.
I have enjoyed working alongside many services in the Eurobodalla Shire, I’m a current board member of the Disability Inclusive Advisory Committee with the local Eurobodalla Shire Council, and am a passionate Advocate for Social and Accessible Inclusion for all.
Recently become a Gram-Ma to a beautiful lil baby girl, who has melted my heart. I have three divine sons, all of whom are now off on their journeys. I enjoy gardening, surfing, bushwalking, dancing, SUP boarding, reading, cooking and spending time with my family.
