Our values aren’t just words on a wall

At roundsquared, our values aren't just words on a wall. They're something we see in action every day through the people who make up our community.

That's why we have a Values in Action Program – to recognise staff and Members who bring our values to life through their actions, often without expecting recognition in return. The program exists to celebrate the people who strengthen our culture, our communities and each other. 

This quarter, four incredible people reminded us exactly why recognising values in action matters.

Angela was recognised for the value of Community. Supporting a member through significant challenges in finding stable accommodation, Angela never stopped believing that the right outcome was possible. She continued to treat the Member and their family with dignity, respect and compassion, even during difficult circumstances. 

Evelyn was recognised for the value of Hope. By supporting Isabella to pursue her dream of becoming a zoologist, Evelyn focused on possibilities rather than barriers. She encouraged Isabella to connect with opportunities that matched her goals and aspirations, helping her take meaningful steps towards her future. 

Our members continue to inspire us too.

Corey was recognised for Community. He is actively involved in his local community, builds genuine connections and embraces opportunities to participate in everyday life. Corey shows us what meaningful community participation can look like and reminds us that everyone has something valuable to contribute. 

Isabella was recognised for Hope. Through her business, Handmade Haven, she has shown resilience, determination and belief in herself. From starting an Instagram page to running market stalls and securing an ongoing sales opportunity at a local hospital, Isabella's journey demonstrates what can happen when someone is supported to pursue their goals and back themselves. 

These stories are exactly why Values in Action is so important, because they remind us that making a difference doesn't always come through grand gestures. More often, it comes through everyday acts of kindness, courage, inclusion and belief in others.

At roundsquared, we believe those moments deserve to be celebrated.
